Neptune Twp. Police Raid Yields Gun, Drugs

(Neptune, NJ) – On 3/23/18, after a six week narcotic distribution investigation, the Neptune Township Police Department’s Patrol and Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the 1100 Block of Corlies Ave. Arrested during the warrant were residents Ahmerea Stevens, 19 years old; Itayasia Berry, 18 years old; Javon Spicer, 26 years old; Eileen Davenport, 38 years old and Dazmiere Bellamy, 19 years old. Also arrested were Latoya Stevens, 20 years old of Asbury Park; Dowann Andrade, 45 years old of Lakehurst; Jemal Kenny, 46 years old Brielle and Shamel Robinson 24 years old of Neptune.

Recovered during the search warrant was a loaded .40 cal handgun, more than one pound of Marijuana and drug packaging materials. $2,082 in cash was seized.

Bellamy and Berry were charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (handgun), Possession of a Weapon During a Narcotics Offense, Possession of over 1 ounce less than 5 lbs. of Marijuana with intent in a School Zone, Possession of over 1 ounce less than 5 lbs. of Marijuana with Intent, Possession of over 1 ounce less than 5 lbs. of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Packaging Paraphernalia and Contempt of Court warrants. He was remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) to be held for a bail hearing. Berry was released on a summons.

Davenport, L. Stevens, Andrade, Spicer and Kenny were charged with the same crimes, except the weapon possession. All were transported to MCCI in accordance to Bail Reform guidelines.

A. Stevens and Robinson were charged with Possession of Over 1 ounce less than 5 lbs. of Marijuana with intent in a School Zone, Possession of Over 1 ounce less than 5 lbs. of Marijuana with Intent, Possession of Over 1 ounce less than 5 lbs. of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Packaging Paraphernalia. A. Stevens was additionally charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. They were both released on a summons.

MCPO Narcotics Strike Force and the Monmouth County Sheriff’s K-9 unit assisted with the search warrant.
