On 4/19/20, after two-month narcotics distribution investigation, the Neptune Township Police Department‘s Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the 1200 Block of 8th Ave. Arrested during the warrant were two residents:
Darrell Cole, Jr., 39 years old, Cole was charged with Possession of Heroin with intent to distribute in a park zone, Possession of Heroin with the intent to distribute, and possession of Heroin. He was released on a summons.
Robert Love, Jr., 61 years old, was charged with Possession of Heroin with the intent to distribute in a Public Housing area, Possession of Heroin with the intent to distribute in public park zone, Possession of Heroin with the intent to distribute in a school zone, Possession of Cocaine with the intent to distribute in Public Housing area, Possession of Cocaine with the intent to distribute in school zone, Possession of Ecstasy with the intent to distribute in public park zone, Possession of more than ½ ounce of Heroin with the intent to distribute, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Ecstasy, and possession of drug packaging paraphernalia. Love, Jr. was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a detention hearing in accordance with bail reform.
Seized during the investigation were 1211 individual bags of Heroin, Cocaine, Ecstasy, and $5,113.00 in U.S. currency believed to be the profits of narcotics distribution.
