(Neptune, NJ) –  On 05/21/2023, Neptune Police responded to the tent area of Bethany Block after officials from the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association discovered a tent had been burglarized. On scene, forced entry into the structure was observed. The interior of the home was in disarray and multiple items scattered about inside. Other evidence was located on scene. 

The investigation identified 44 year old Godfred Adiapena of Asbury Park, NJ as the accused. Investigating Detective Robert Hagerman later located Adiapena in the area of the Asbury Park Train Station. Upon approaching the accused a brief foot pursuit ensued and Adiapena was quickly apprehended without further incident.

In addition to outstanding bench warrants, Adiapena was charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest.

Adiapena was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a detention hearing in accordance with bail reform.
