Neptune Twp. Police Arrest Two in Home Burglary

(Neptune, NJ) – On 7/19/17 at approximately 11:30 AM, the Neptune Township Police Department was alerted to a suspicious male and female in a park located on South Riverside Dr. in the Shark River Hills section of the township.

Police arrested Joseph Yuka, 30 years old, of Spring Lake Heights for Obstruction of the Administration of Law and Chelsey Cappa, 25 years old, of Howell for active bench warrants. Yuka and Cappa fit the description of suspects involved in a trespassing incident on 7/17/17 on the 200 block of Elm Drive in the west section of Neptune. At the time of their arrest, Yuka and Cappa were found to be in possession of jewelry and other valuables. During the investigation it was discovered that the pair had burglarized a residence on the 100 block of Prospect Ave. in Shark River Hills.

Yuka and Cappa were both charged with Defiant Trespassing, Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession of CDS Alprazolam, Receiving Stolen Property, Burglary, Theft, Possession of Hypodermic Needles and Syringes and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both subjects were transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution where they will await a bail hearing.
